Chalk it up to hormones ** I'm really loopy his afternoon. You really should be envying my co-workers right now. Hope you all have a fabulous, goofy, silly, childish, giggly weekend.

Not nearly satisfying enough ** The pennies are gone, by the way. Just like that, just gone. I've decided to place them a little closer to my cubicle hell home so I can watch them. I think on the cubicle wall of my boss is an excellent place. Yeah. I'll keep you updated on their exciting lives.

Such is life ** Well, it's not perfect, but it's up. Don't click on the red/purple/blue thingies just yet. I can't figure out how to make them work. I think .php and Geocities don't get along. But I'll live with it for now. It's pretty, at least.

And no, we are not pregnant, despite the "Hello Baby" above. We are, however, trying. Well, that's the idea though intent and action are always two separate things. ;-) I promise to let you all know when I know. I did quit smoking again, for anyone who knew I had started up. Yep, I'd say there are only a few people who knew I was, and knew how much. I didn't smoke much at home, but that's because I didn't want Joe to think I was addicted again. Anyway, it's all behind me now. I've been saying for ages (started up smoking again last summer) that I'd quit when I found out I was pregnant. I've always known/said that. Well, I could be weeks pregnant when I find out, and that's just wrong. So, no more.

Anyway, if I get cranky around here, it's a combination of contraceptive-free PMS for the first time in years and nicotine withdrawal. Yep, I'm going to go share the joy that is me with my friends and co-workers. Envy them.

Funky happenings ** Forgive me if things keep changing around here. I'm fidgeting with my template. Thank you for your patience. :-)

Congratulations to Dawn for her Bloggies nomination. Now if I can just figure out how to vote. I don't see the nominees on there.

One is silver and the other gold ** Anyone want Girl Scout cookies? My best friend is co-leader and cookie mom for her daughters' girl scout troop. And as the honorary best friend, "Aunt Kerry," I have a duty to sell more! Let me know if you want some. I'll ship 'em to ya! (There are 2 new flavors this year - one like a Mexican wedding cake and one like the shortbread one with chocolate on the bottom).

Finally, Cigar Time!!! News Flash Two ** I'm so tired, but I have to send my late congratulations to April, who is the proud new mother of a teeny, beautiful (surely!) baby girl!!! Congratulations to you and to Brett, I couldn't wish you more happiness than you're doubtlessly feeling right now. All my prayers and love to all three of you! I can't wait to see the pictures! Stop by and give her the love.

News Flash One ** April update here!!!

Get those cigars ready ** Geez, I'm dying here. I wish I had a way of knowing if April has had her baby or not. I can't believe it's time for her little one to finally arrive. Nobody knows the status, and I'm dying to know!

Pennies from Pru ** I'm going to start my penny experiment (read yesterday's post) at lunch. I can't wait to see what happens.

Riding on fumes ** My car and I are both riding on fumes today. I stayed up waaaaay too late last night, fiddling with backgrounds/design for this site (that aren't stolen from someone else, unlike some people!), and I'm sleepy this morning. To boot, I was running really late and didn't want to stop for gas, so I'll be fuming it to the corner gas station after work. Groovy.

Zoom Zoom, Part Two ** Yay. Traffic -- er, "Defensive Driving" school is over. Amen. And it's still a happening night. Joe's in bed, the puppy's crashed out. Meanwhile, I'm planning Chelsie's bachelorette party, her bridal shower, keeping tabs on in-labor April, happy happy happy for another friend just because ;-P, starting our taxes (not as much back as we'd hoped - damn!), and trying to stay entertained. I guess sitting in a boring "classroom" for 4 hours didn't completely zap my consciousness after all. Whaddya know?

Peers = Lab Rats ** I'm so doing this, starting tomorrow.

So much friendlier with Pooh! ** We got our first baby-related gift this weekend, from my best friend Ember. She wanted to be first, even though we're not pregnant or even "officially" trying yet. But it was cute. It's a Pooh pacifier attacher like this one, only more pastel (Classic Pooh style) with a pastel teal attacher instead of red. It was exciting to think baby. Joe was funny - he needed an explanation of what it was, and what it was for. We both have a long way to go!

Brilliant! ** Join the search for an anthrax cure. By signing up and downloading a screen saver designed to run computations for the project, you can help find the cure for anthrax. Seriously! Read more here.

Bouncing Baby Girl ** I'm sending happy thoughts this morning over to April who's getting closer and closer. I hope we get lucky enough to feel what you're feeling someday soon.

Zoom Zoom, Part One ** I had my first night of traffic school last night. Tonight is the second, final part. I was the lucky recipient of a ticket-by-mail from a photo radar in Paradise Valley in November, and I'm just now getting around to traffic -- excuse me, "Defensive Driver" school. It's from 5:30 - 9:30, and so little fun I needed wine last night to recover. Now I'm exhausted, but I suppose it'll all be over soon. At least I had a nice 3-day weekend. Hope you did too!
