What on earth?! ** They changed the ethnicity of the people who raised the flag on 9/11? Okay, I personally find the image kind of hokey, but if you are going to immortalize it, at least make it accurate! It's not like nobody is old enough to remember the truth! Chalk this up with CBS' Flight 93 made-for-TV movie on the all-time tasteless list.

Shoooosh! ** No comments for a while. BlogBack is tweaking things. Sorry!

Friday Five from Heather's fridayfive.org!

1. What was your first job? Other than working with my mom on the family music business, Swensen's Ice Cream Parlor. I was 16, and I was a soda girl, making ice cream sundaes, etc. I waited a few tables too, but not for long.

2. How old were you when you had your first kiss? Geez, I don't remember the exact age. I was in 3rd grade. I got an early start there, then stalled for a long time. :-)

3. What was your first car? What happened to it? 1986 Dodge Daytona. Rear-ended my ex-boyfriend (total accident!) in 1996, and it's still parked in my best friend's dad's construction company's back lot. I really ought to do something about that car...

4. What was your first concert? By choice, R.E.M. Green tour in 1989 with my brother. I was 13. When I was about 8, my parents took me to see the Osmond Family at the state fair.

5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? Tonight, happy hour! Tomorrow evening, board games and dinner with my step-sis and her fiance and Joe's best friend and wife. Sunday, getting fitted for my Matron of Honor dress for step-sis's wedding. And some serious house cleaning, I hope.

Happy Friday to you! Happy Friday to you! ** Happy Friday to yooo-ooou, happy Friday to you! Yes, it's Friday and I'm really glad. My headache just got worse and worse last night, and I was in bed very early. Today I feel just fabulous - and I finally get that margarita. It's "pay-day, happy-hour Friday!" Yessirreebob, I intend to have a good ol' time at 4:31 p.m. Come along and join us! You've got 7 hours and 6 minutes to get here from wherever you are. ;-) (in case you hadn't noticed yet, the time stamp on my blog is ignorant to the nuances of Arizona Mountain Standard Time, where we don't celebrate daylight savings; in other words, it's an hour slow).

I have a headache this big ** I know you're jealous. It hurts though, for reals. Nothing a frosty margarita wouldn't fix though. Mmmmmm, that sounds really really good right now. Anyone wanna join me at 4:31 for cocktails at Carlos O'Briens?

Count your blessings ** All day I deal with people who just aren't grateful for what they're getting. Fortunately, I work indirectly with them, but it's still annoying. And if I want to get up the career ladder sitting so perfectly before me, the job where I work directly with them is the next rung. I'll really have to steel myself for that job before I try it. So let me just say, if you are lucky enough to have a job, and your employer has enough confidence in you and your abilities to move your tushie across the U.S. one way or the other - be grateful for all they do (and spend) to help you do it. Don't be greedy. Or mean.

Blech ** I feel nauseous today. I wish I had a good reason too, but 'fraid not. I had an amusing story here, but I have a feeling it was only amusing to me. Ah, well. Bottom line is, it's probably from working out too hard last night. I just want to see results now. Not that it works that way, but a girl can dream.

Go blog yourself ** Man, I love Blogger. Well, 98% of the time. They are having server issues, which is why my posts today and yesterday are so sporadic. Not that anybody has noticed, I'm sure, but nonetheless I thought I'd let you "all" know.

If you can't say anything nice... ** Why do people have to be so nasty in other peoples' blogs?

No, my finger is not a chew toy ** It's a lovely morning. My beautiful city is going to be around 76 degrees today. Ahh, it's so worth suffering the 115-degree afternoons in July for this. The puppy is enjoying the warmer weather too. She was a little hellion last night. I haven't been working out every day like I'm supposed to be doing, but I will definitely be going today. It'll be nice to wear shorts and not be cold. Hope your day is just as nice!

Since I have no other way of telling her from here, April, I'm sending lots and lots of hugs and stress-free vibes. I'm sorry things are so rough right now. In a few weeks, your baby's beautiful face will make everything seem worth it!

I hate meetings.

He would have trouble tying his own shoelaces... And yet, with a cigarette lighter and a split-second more time, he would have downed an entire plane full of people over the Atlantic Ocean. Comforting.

Yippee yippee!!! One of my favorite people in the whole world has a blog now! I'll have to put her in my bookmarks section. I didn't even know it was there - you sneaky Jen!

By the way, if anyone is interested in the Simpsons Monopoly and Clue games I bought my brother and Joe for Christmas, I'm auctioning the duplicates I bought on eBay right now. Check 'em out!

This is Joe's new addiction. Glad he likes his PlayStation2. At least we went and bought a memory card yesterday so he doesn't have to keep starting at the beginning. Of course, we need to hide this one from this puppy since we found our PS1 memory card chewed into a million pieces last week. That means I have to start Oddworld:Abe's Exodus over from the beginning now too. And I was almost done with it!

Yeah, Tricky pretty much occupied our downtime this weekend. Most of yesterday we moved my brother out of my house. :-( I'll miss him a lot, but I know it will be nice to be back to just me, Joe and the puppy. We had to buy her an ID tag finally, since she'll be alone and is more likely to get restless and find a way out of the yard. She jingles now, and I think she likes it. It's amazing how much she's learned with Monty gone just a couple of days. She'll already sit and stay. Yep. That's our excitement now. No more holidays and no more house guests. It's kind of nice, actually.
